Pakistan Army Chief Warns of Swift Response to Indian Aggression

Pakistan Army Chief Warns of Swift Response to Indian Aggression
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has issued a stern warning, stating that any military misadventure by India will be met with a swift, resolute, and notch-up response. His remarks come amid heightened tensions following the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 casualties.
During his visit to the Tilla Field Firing Ranges, Gen Munir observed Exercise Hammer Strike, a high-intensity military drill conducted by the Mangla Strike Corps. Addressing troops, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, while emphasizing the army’s preparedness to safeguard national interests. The exercise showcased Pakistan’s combat readiness, featuring multirole fighter aircraft, long-range precision artillery, and advanced battlefield tactics.
The warning follows reports that India’s leadership has granted operational freedom to its military to respond to the Pahalgam incident. Pakistan has rejected allegations of involvement, calling for a neutral investigation. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are underway to de-escalate tensions, with global powers urging restraint.
With both nations on high alert, the situation remains volatile, and the international community continues to monitor developments closely.
