Pakistan and China Strengthen Military Cooperation with Focus on Air Forces

Pakistan and China have pledged to deepen their military collaboration, particularly between their air forces, as Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu held key meetings during his visit to China. The developments mark a significant step in advancing strategic ties between the two nations.
During his meeting with Chinese Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun, both sides agreed to conduct advanced joint aerial exercises. These drills will focus on aggressive, tactical-level training aimed at preparing air and ground crews for modern air and space warfare, demonstrating the commitment of both nations to enhancing their military capabilities.
Additionally, the Air Chief held discussions with top Chinese military officials, including General Chang Dingqiu, where they agreed to establish a Joint Working Group to further strengthen collaboration between their air forces. The initiative is expected to facilitate deeper engagement and coordinated efforts in the military domain.
On the industrial front, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu met with leaders in China’s defense industry, inviting them to participate in Pakistan’s Aerospace Science and Technology Park. This collaboration is set to explore joint development of military technology and equipment, aligning with Pakistan’s efforts to bolster its defense infrastructure.
The agreements and initiatives highlight the growing strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, with a clear focus on enhancing mutual defense capabilities and technological innovation.
