New Twist in Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case

Just days ahead of the release of his upcoming Netflix film Jewel Thief, Saif Ali Khan’s real-life stabbing case has taken a dramatic new turn. The actor, who was reportedly attacked inside his Mumbai home earlier this year, may have been the victim of a case of mistaken identity, as forensic reports now reveal that fingerprints collected from the crime scene do not match the accused, Shariful Islam. Out of nearly 20 samples sent to the CID’s Fingerprint Bureau, only one — found on the 8th floor of the building — matched Islam, casting serious doubt on his involvement. While Saif has yet to comment on this unexpected twist, the news has reignited public interest in the already high-profile case.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif’s wife, expressed her emotional response shortly after the incident. In an Instagram post, she described it as an “incredibly challenging day” for the family and requested privacy from the media as they continue to process the traumatic event. It was also reported that their younger son, Taimur Ali Khan, may have played a heroic role in rushing his father to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw following the attack.

Despite the chaos in his personal life, Saif remains professionally active. At the trailer launch of Jewel Thief, he spoke about his role, saying he was drawn to the moral complexity of the character, who commits a crime for a noble cause. With Jewel Thief set to premiere on April 25, Saif is pushing forward, even as the mystery around his stabbing continues to unfold.
