Netanyahu in Hospital Underground Amid Rocket Attack Fears

Last Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent prostate surgery at Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center. Following the procedure, he has remained at the hospital.

Due to concerns that Palestinian armed group Hamas or Yemen’s Houthi rebels might launch rocket attacks, Netanyahu has been moved to the hospital’s underground facility. Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office confirmed the information, stating that the surgery was successful, and the Prime Minister is awake and in good health. However, for security reasons, he has been placed in a protected underground ward.

On the same day, two rockets were fired at Israel from Beit Hanoun in Gaza. Although Israeli forces successfully intercepted them, the incident has raised concerns among the occupiers, especially after 15 months of conflict.

The 75-year-old Netanyahu also underwent surgery last March for a hernia, during which he stayed away from official duties for several days.

Last year, a blockage was discovered in his heart, leading to surgery to implant a pacemaker. Previously, he was hospitalized for dehydration, which revealed the heart condition. This sparked speculation about his health.

In January of this year, a medical report stated that Netanyahu was in good health, with the pacemaker functioning properly and no further heart issues observed. However, as he ages, he has increasingly needed hospital visits due to various health issues.
