Naomi Scott’s Smile 2 Release Date Set for December 3

The sequel to the 2022 horror movie follows Skye Riley played by Naomi Scott, a pop star. As she prepares for a world tour, she begins to experience strange and frightening events.

After its release in theaters in October, it has been confirmed that the movie will be available to stream on Paramount+ in the US starting on Tuesday, December 3. People in the UK will have to wait until next year to stream it.

In the US, you can also buy or rent Smile 2 on Prime Video, iTunes, and other digital platforms.

Viewers in the UK can pre-order the movie on Prime Video and iTunes to watch it as soon as it is released.

The film is directed and written by Parker Finn. It also stars Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Ray Nicholson, Dylan Gelula, and Raúl Castillo. Kyle Gallner returns as Joel from the first movie.

Smile 2 has received a strong 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is higher than the first film’s 79%. However, the sequel has not made as much money at the box office. The first movie earned $217.4 million worldwide, but Smile 2 has only made $131.9 million so far.

The first Smile movie focused on Rose Cotter (played by Sosie Bacon), who sees a patient die by suicide. Afterward, she begins to have disturbing visions and starts to question her sanity. At the end, it is revealed that she was hallucinating, and the “smile” curse takes over, leading to her tragic death.

Bacon shared that she preferred the dark ending because a happy one wouldn’t have felt right for the story.

Smile 2 is available to stream on Paramount+ in the US starting December 3. A release date for the UK has not been set yet.
