Mob sought to assault a teen for allegedly ‘defaming God and Prophet (SM)’ in Bangladesh, the army detained the boy

Yesterday a young boy – Hridoy Pal was detained by the Army in Faridpur, Bangladesh. Mob wanted to physically harm the teen for the allegation of defaming God and the Prophet (SM). The incident has drawn heavy criticism from progressive groups and the general public.

Eminent author Taslima Nasrin voiced her disapproval of the event in a Facebook post. She wondered – “Why are the army people blindfolding him? He seems to be a serial killer—a big criminal.”

The evil mob planned to assault the boy for 5 minutes. The army men did not hand over Hridoy Pal to the mob, but they shouted and asked the army to beat Hridoy Pal with a stick saying that if they saw him beaten, they would get peace, at least beat him for the peace of their eyes. To have some tranquillity in their eyes, the soldiers beat the youngster.

However, they were forced to kill the youngster. Without a trial, the army violated army regulations and subjected a guy to psychological and physical torture.

Taslima also added beasts are better than the mobs.

Dr. Yunus’s government is marked by severe political vengeance against minorities and political parties, particularly the Bangladesh Awami League and its leaders, activists, sympathizers, journalists, cultural activists, students, and intellectuals.

Interim government administrations are accused of perpetrating human rights violations including mob lynching which is a common phenomenon in Bangladesh.

The premises of Bangladesh’s Supreme Court are an untenable location for political reasons. The judicial grounds in Bangladesh were the scene of physical abuse directed towards former supreme court justice Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik and numerous other Awami league leaders, former members of parliament, and ministers.

When Professor Yunus took office, he pledged to make Bangladesh a more equitable and just place for everyone by protecting freedom of expression, the rule of law, and equality.

The folks are very vocal on social media, gathered rallies and media already reported people’s dissatisfaction with security, social crime, excessive price hikes of essentials and intolerance of militant group – Hizbut Tahrir Bangladesh and right-wing political party – Jamaat -e-Islami and their student wing Islami Chatro Shibir.
