Margot Robbie’s Old Crime Comedy Becomes a Netflix Hit

Margot Robbie’s 2015 movie Focus is becoming popular again on Netflix.

The movie, which also stars Will Smith, is about a con artist who takes an attractive woman under his wing to teach her his tricks. But he gets distracted by his growing feelings for her.

When it was released in 2015, Focus made over $158 million from a $50 million budget, but it didn’t do amazingly well at the box office.

However, the movie has found a new audience on Netflix. It is now the 5th most-watched movie globally (from November 11 to November 17). Focus has gained 5.4 million views in that time.

In comparison, Alita: Battle Angel and Minions: The Rise of Gru are in 4th and 3rd places.

Even though it’s not December yet, the top two movies are new Netflix Christmas films. Meet Me Next Christmas, starring Christina Milian, is in 2nd place, while Hot Frosty, with actors from Schitt’s Creek like Dustin Milligan, is number 1.

If you want to see more of Margot Robbie’s early work, her TV show Pan Am has been added to ITVX. The show is about stewardesses and pilots in the 1960s who work for Pan American World Airways. It also stars Christina Ricci and David Harbour.

Meanwhile, Margot Robbie’s upcoming film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is set to release next year. She’s also going to work with Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi and director Emerald Fennell on a new version of Wuthering Heights.
