Marco Rubio Becomes U.S. Secretary of State

Marco Rubio has been appointed as the new Secretary of State of the United States. The U.S. Senate has ratified his appointment. According to CNN, all 99 senators voted in his favor.

Marco Rubio is known as a staunch supporter of Israel and is also recognized for his strong stance against China. He is highly regarded even by members of the Democratic Party, the party of former President Joe Biden. As a result, no Democratic senator voted against him. Many believe that Marco Rubio is a suitable choice for leading the State Department.

Rubio has served as a Republican senator from Florida since 2011. While he was previously opposed to Donald Trump, their relationship has significantly improved in recent times. He is now set to take on one of the most critical roles in the Trump administration.

During the outgoing President Joe Biden’s tenure, Antony Blinken served as Secretary of State. However, Blinken faced significant criticism toward the end of his term for his perceived complicity in Israel’s actions in Gaza, which were labeled as mass killings. In his final press conference as Secretary of State, Blinken was publicly berated by journalists. One journalist even referred to him as a “criminal” in front of everyone.
