Liverpool’s Victory Over Salah’s Magic

Bournemouth is one of the surprises in the Premier League this season. They scored five goals in the previous match against Nottingham Forest, who are third in the points list. Earlier, the team defeated Manchester City and Manchester United in the league.

Liverpool’s test on Saturday night against such an opponent seemed difficult. Liverpool, however, was challenged at different times throughout the match. Salah scored 20 or more goals in the league in five seasons for Liverpool. Salah previously achieved the feat in 2017-18 (32), 2018-19 (22), 2020-21 (22) and 2021-22 (23). Apart from Salah, Alan Shearer (7 times), Sergio Aguero (6 times), Harry Kane (6 times) and Thierry Henry (5 times) have scored 20 or more goals in 5 or more seasons.

From the beginning of the match at Bournemouth, the two teams made the attack a bird’s eye. In the counter-attack, both teams try to create opportunities. In the other match of the night, Brighton was flooded by Nottingham Forest. Chris Wood’s great hat-trick blew Nottingham 7-0 in Brighton. Everton won 4-0 against Leicester on the same night. Newcastle lost 2-1 to Fulham.

Liverpool has 56 points in 23 matches in the opponent’s field. On the other hand, Bournemouth is at number 7 with 40 points in 24 matches. Nottingham Forest have three wins against Brighton. They have 47 points in 24 matches. Arsenal is in second place with the same points as Nottingham in less than one match. The Gunners will face Manchester City tomorrow.
