Lady Gaga to Campaign for Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania

Lady Gaga is set to visit Pennsylvania, a key swing state, on the eve of the 2024 presidential election to support the Kamala Harris/Tim Walz ticket.

“It’s time to get ready to vote — I’ll see you guys in Pennsylvania,” the singer and actress said in a short video on her Instagram, captioned “Harris Walz 2024” with U.S. flag and praying hands emojis.

Gaga will join other stars at one of two “Get Out the Vote” events in the state on Monday, with a rally in Philadelphia featuring Oprah Winfrey, Ricky Martin, Jazmine Sullivan, the Roots, DJ Cassidy, Fat Joe, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Adam Blackstone.

Pittsburgh will also host a celebrity-filled rally for the Harris-Walz campaign, featuring performances by Katy Perry, Andra Day, and D-Nice.

The Pennsylvania rallies, which will be livestreamed, are the most high-profile events for the campaign on a day that will also see activities in other swing states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.

A New York Times/Siena poll released Sunday showed Harris and Donald Trump tied in Pennsylvania, each with 48% of likely voters. This was confirmed by a Morning Consult poll that also reported a 48%-48% deadlock. Earlier in the week, two other polls indicated Trump had a slight edge, with Fox News showing him leading 50%-49% and Quinnipiac at 47%-46%. Trump has maintained a narrow lead of 0.2 points in Pennsylvania according to FiveThirtyEight’s polling average.

While Harris could win the presidency without Pennsylvania, her path would be much tougher and would require victories in other states leaning toward Trump. If she secures Pennsylvania and performs well in Wisconsin and Michigan, where polls show her ahead, experts suggest she could be on track to become the next president.
