Lady Gaga Announces New Album’s Release Date

Lady Gaga has officially revealed that her highly anticipated seventh studio album, titled Mayhem, will be released on March 7. The announcement came through billboards that appeared overnight in New York and Las Vegas, teasing fans about the upcoming project.

In a statement, Gaga shared that the album’s creation process involved her confronting her fears about returning to the pop music style that her early fans adored. She described the creative journey as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”

Mayhem will feature 14 tracks, including previously released singles “Disease” and “Die With a Smile.” The album is executive produced by Gaga herself, alongside Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt. Other producers involved include Cirkut and Gesaffelstein.

Ahead of the album’s release, Gaga will debut the third single and its accompanying music video during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards on February 2. The full tracklist for Mayhem will be shared at a later date.

In the lead-up to the Grammys, Gaga will perform alongside other artists like Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks, and Joni Mitchell at FireAid on January 30 in Los Angeles, supporting communities affected by recent wildfires. Gaga will also be honored with the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17, before heading to Coachella for a headlining performance on April 11 and 18.

In a December interview with the Los Angeles Times, Gaga described the album as a reflection of her love for music and its diverse exploration of genres and styles. “It leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt,” she shared, adding that the album ultimately concludes on a note of love, which she views as the resolution to the chaos in her life.

Mayhem marks Gaga’s first full-length album since her 2020 release, Chromatica, which topped the Billboard 200 chart upon its debut. Gaga has previously achieved No. 1 on the chart with A Star Is Born (2018), Joanne (2016), Cheek to Cheek (2014), Artpop (2013), and Born This Way (2011).
