Katy Perry Adjusts Tour Schedule After Becoming a Mom

Katy Perry is making a special adjustment to her upcoming Lifetimes Tour, set to kick off on May 7 in Houston, Texas, after becoming a mom to daughter Daisy Dove Bloom. In an interview with Access Hollywood, the 40-year-old singer shared that she will be shifting her showtimes to accommodate the realities of parenting.

“She’ll be there for part of it, but I think what I’m really going to implement is an earlier time show,” Perry said. The singer, who previously scheduled her shows at 9:00 or 9:15 p.m., explained that now, as a mother, she understands how important bedtime is for children. “Sometimes those shows are on weekdays, and they go to school the next day, and they probably will have some sugar at the show, and they’ll be with their friends… so it’s going to be an 8:30 show.”

Perry, who is married to actor Orlando Bloom, added that she now realizes the complexities of bringing children on tour. As for Daisy making any surprise onstage appearances, Perry noted that while her daughter is “very extroverted” and loves music, she doesn’t expect her little one to take the stage anytime soon.

The Lifetimes Tour will support Perry’s latest album, 143, which was released in September 2024. The tour will span major U.S. cities, including Chicago, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, and Miami. Perry teased that fans can expect both her well-known hits as well as some deep cuts, calling it a celebration of her career.

“I’m going to get close to everyone at some point,” Perry promised, hinting that the tour will be a high-energy spectacle complete with costume changes, acts, and flying performances. With an exciting setlist and a more family-friendly showtime, Perry’s Lifetimes Tour promises to be one for the books.
