Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson Announce Separation After 10 Years

After a decade of marriage, the beloved couple of the music world, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson, have decided to part ways. The two Hollywood stars, who were once living happily together, have now confirmed their separation.

In a recent press statement, Simpson shared the news and referred to the split as a “painful situation,” adding that the decision was made with a focus on prioritizing their family.

While the singer did not go into specifics regarding the reasons behind their separation, she assured that both are committed to navigating this situation responsibly. She also confirmed that they are currently living separately. However, their three children—Maxwell (12), Ace (11), and Birdie (5)—will continue to have both parents’ support. Simpson emphasized that despite the split, they will not stray from being ideal parents to their children.

“We are trying to do what is best for our children. We are grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this tough time. We ask for privacy as we handle this situation with our family,” she added.

The news of the split follows Simpson’s cryptic Instagram post in November 2024, in which she hinted at her new music release. The post said, “This comeback is personal. It’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.” Though she did not explicitly mention her relationship issues at the time, fans speculated that her comments were related to her marriage.

Simpson’s sister, Ashlee Simpson, had previously addressed these rumors, denying the separation. However, things escalated when Eric Johnson was spotted without his wedding ring, fueling further speculation about the couple’s relationship.

Simpson had previously been married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006. She began her relationship with Eric Johnson in 2010, after his split from his ex-wife, Keri D’Angelo. The couple married in 2014, two years after welcoming their daughter, Maxwell.
