“JD Vance Casts Ballot in Cincinnati, Calls for Unity as Trump-Vance Ticket Awaits Election Results”

Republican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance cast his ballot in Cincinnati this morning, arriving with his wife, Usha, and their children to vote in-person at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Vance, who is on the ticket with former President Donald Trump, appeared upbeat as he joined other Ohio voters.

After voting, Vance spoke with reporters about the excitement of Election Day, calling it “one of the great traditions in American democracy.” Reflecting on his run for Senate two years ago, he said, “I feel good; you never know until you know, but I feel good about this race.”

In a message aimed at bridging political divides, Vance acknowledged the tight nature of the race, adding that no matter who wins, nearly half the country will be disappointed. “If elected, I will still treat those who didn’t vote for us as fellow Americans,” he said. “I think the best way to heal the rift in this country is to govern well, create prosperity, and remind Americans that we’re all on the same team.”

Vance, who plans to join Trump in Palm Beach to watch tonight’s results, said he was “overwhelmed with gratitude” for the chance to serve. “Standing here today reminds me we live in the greatest country in the world,” he said.

Election Day is now in full swing across the nation, with voters choosing between President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, each needing 270 electoral votes to win. Key battleground states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are expected to play a pivotal role in the race. Meanwhile, in the symbolic first vote of the day, Harris and Trump tied with three votes each in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire—a midnight voting tradition.

Both candidates wrapped up their final campaign events last night, with Harris concluding her tour in Pennsylvania and Trump addressing supporters in Michigan, the site of three of his previous campaign finales.
