Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films’ highly anticipated live-action Masters of the Universe film has added several high-profile actors to its villainous roster. Jared Leto will take on the iconic role of Skeletor, while Sam C. Wilson will play the menacing Trap Jaw.

Hafthor Bjornsson, known for his role as “The Mountain” in Game of Thrones, will portray Goat Man, and Kojo Attah will step into the role of Tri-Klops. These new cast members join Alison Brie, who will play Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s second-in-command.

The film will also feature an exciting lineup of heroes, with Nicholas Galitzine starring as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the story is expected to follow Prince Adam of Eternia, who transforms into He-Man with the help of his Power Sword, gaining superhuman strength and abilities to protect his world from the evil forces of Skeletor.

Directed by Travis Knight, Masters of the Universe is slated for release worldwide on June 5, 2026. The screenplay is written by Chris Butler, with a draft by David Callaham and Aaron and Adam Nee.
