Israeli Police Launch Investigation Against Netanyahu’s Wife

Israeli police have launched an investigation against Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on charges of intimidation and attempting to harass the country’s top legal official, the Attorney General.

This information came to light through a leaked letter on Sunday. The letter, dated December 26, was sent by the Attorney General’s office to Naama Lazimi, a member of Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, and the country’s opposition leader. A copy of the letter was obtained by AFP.

Earlier, Naama Lazimi had filed a written complaint against Sara Netanyahu with the Attorney General’s office. In response, the Attorney General’s office provided Lazimi with the letter on December 26.

Meanwhile, multiple corruption and bribery cases are ongoing in Israeli courts against Benjamin Netanyahu. The judicial proceedings for these cases began in May 2020. However, for various reasons, all the cases have been delayed.

Netanyahu has consistently denied the corruption allegations against him and continues to do so. However, accusations have been raised that he and his close associates are using different tactics to delay the judicial process. According to the letter submitted to the Attorney General by Naama Lazimi, Sara Netanyahu has also been assisting Netanyahu in these efforts.
