Israel Preparing for Week-Long Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

The Voice News:Israel is reportedly preparing for a week-long military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, according to a report by U.S.-based media outlet Axios. Unlike previous one-day strikes, this planned offensive could continue for at least a week.

Two Israeli sources told Axios that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is waiting for nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran to collapse. If the talks fail, Israel is expected to launch the operation immediately.

Previously, some Israeli officials believed the nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran might succeed. However, new intelligence suggests otherwise, prompting urgency in Israel’s military planning. The sources did not disclose the exact reasons for the urgency but confirmed the U.S. intelligence community is aware of Israel’s military preparations through observed training and strategic movements.

The report aligns with earlier coverage by CNN, which cited U.S. intelligence sources confirming that Israel is planning a strike on Iran’s nuclear sites.

An Israeli source added that Netanyahu is also watching for a reaction from former U.S. President Donald Trump, suggesting he may support such action if the talks fail. Meanwhile, a U.S. official expressed concern that Netanyahu—who is currently facing war crimes charges—might proceed with the attack even without American approval.

The core disagreement in the ongoing nuclear talks lies in Iran’s uranium enrichment. The U.S. wants Iran to limit uranium stockpiles, even for civilian use. Iran, however, has made it clear that it will continue enriching uranium regardless of the outcome.

According to Israeli sources, this would not be a simple one-day strike but a complex military campaign, expected to last at least a week. Analysts warn that such an operation could increase the risk of widespread radiation and further destabilize the region.
