Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has issued a “final warning” to the residents of war-torn Gaza. In a video message on Wednesday, he urged Gazans to follow the advice of U.S. President Donald Trump by ensuring the release of Israeli hostages and removing Hamas from power.
“Residents of Gaza, this is your final warning. Follow the advice of the U.S. President,” Katz said. He emphasized that complying with this advice would open up other options for them.
On the same day, the Israeli military resumed ground operations in specific areas of the Gaza Strip. This comes after one of the deadliest attacks in Gaza since the ceasefire agreement in January.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli attacks in the last 48 hours have killed 970 Palestinians, bringing the total death toll to 49,547.
The Israeli military confirmed that its forces have expanded their presence in central Gaza, particularly in the Netzarim Corridor, as part of efforts to establish a buffer zone between northern and southern Gaza.
