Islamic Mobs Hunting Hindus inBangladesh, Chanting ‘Catch One by One and Slaughter Them’
Hindu Communities in Bangladesh Under Threat as Mobs Call for Violence
CHITTAGONG – Hindu settlements in Chittagong, Bangladesh, are facing imminent danger as Islamic mobs march through the streets chanting slogans inciting violence, including:
“One by one, catch ISKCON/Hindus and, after catching them, slaughter them!” The chilling rhetoric has left Hindu families fearing for their lives amid an escalating atmosphere of terror.
Witnesses report that the situation in Chittagong has become dire, with mobs targeting Hindu homes and communities under the guise of religious supremacy. Temples have been desecrated, homes burned, and families forced to flee for safety, as calls for genocide echo across the streets.
Rights advocates and political commentators have criticized the silence of the global media and human rights organizations, pointing out that similar attacks against other religious minorities would likely prompt an international outcry. However, the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh have largely gone unnoticed on the global stage.
“This is not a one-time event but part of a pattern aimed at erasing the Hindu minority from Bangladesh,” said a spokesperson for a human rights group monitoring the crisis. Critics argue that the lack of global attention has emboldened extremists and left vulnerable communities with little
protection or recourse.
Activists are urging immediate intervention by international bodies to protect Hindu minorities and hold perpetrators accountable. Without action, observers fear the violence will escalate further, deepening the humanitarian crisis for Hindus and other
non-Muslim minorities in Bangladesh.
