Indians’ Blood is Boiling; Attackers Will Face Harshest Punishment: Modi

Following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the “blood of every Indian is boiling.” Speaking during his “Mann Ki Baat” address, he expressed that the entire nation mourns with the families of the victims and assured that the attackers would face the harshest possible punishment.

According to a report by Indian media outlet NDTV, Modi described the Pahalgam attack as a manifestation of the frustration and cowardice of those who support terrorism. He highlighted that peace was returning to Kashmir, educational institutions were thriving, development projects were progressing rapidly, democracy was strengthening, tourism was at a record high, incomes were rising, and new opportunities were emerging for youth — progress that enemies of the nation and Kashmir could not tolerate.

He emphasized that people from every state and linguistic group in India have been deeply touched by the tragedy. “After witnessing the scenes of the attack, every Indian’s blood is boiling,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister assured that those responsible would face severe consequences and that justice would be delivered to the affected families. “The unity of 1.4 billion Indians is our greatest strength in the fight against terrorism. Relying on this unity, we will ultimately defeat terrorism,” he said.

On April 22, an attack in the Baisaran area of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, left 25 tourists and one local Kashmiri resident dead. It has been described as one of the deadliest recent terrorist attacks in the region.

Modi added, “We will find every terrorist and their supporters and punish them in ways they cannot even imagine. It is time to completely destroy the sanctuaries of terror. The unwavering determination of 1.4 billion Indians will crush the supporters of terrorism.”
