Popular Indian filmmaker Srijit Mukherji has been admitted to the ICU. According to Indian media reports, he suddenly experienced breathing difficulties around 12:30 AM on Friday night. He also started sweating profusely. He was rushed to a private hospital in Kolkata, where doctors moved him to the Intensive Care Unit for close monitoring.
However, doctors have stated that the immediate danger has passed, and Srijit’s condition is currently stable.
It has also been reported that several medical tests were conducted on Saturday morning. The exact cause of his condition is still unclear. Doctors are expected to confirm the diagnosis once the test reports are available.
There is no official word yet on when Srijit might be discharged from the hospital. Doctors have not commented on that matter.
Just recently, Srijit’s film “Aati Uttam” made it into the Limca Book of Records. The director proudly shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of the certificate of recognition himself.
