India to Launch Global Campaign to Expose Pakistan’s Support for Terrorism

India to Launch Global Campaign to Expose Pakistan’s Support for Terrorism
New Delhi, May 16 – India is set to embark on a large-scale diplomatic initiative aimed at exposing Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism on the global stage. The campaign will involve 40 multi-party parliamentarians, divided into seven groups, traveling to key world capitals to present evidence and highlight India’s recently launched Operation Sindoor.
International Outreach Effort
The 10-day tour, commencing on May 23, will see Indian MPs visiting the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan. This marks the first time that the Indian government is deputing MPs from multiple parties to present its stance on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.
Government Coordination and Strategy
While the initiative has not been officially announced, sources indicate that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs are preparing documents containing facts and instances to substantiate allegations against Pakistan. An MEA official is expected to accompany the delegations to ensure diplomatic coordination.
Key Political Figures Involved
The campaign is being coordinated by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju. Several opposition MPs, including Manish Tewari, Shashi Tharoor, Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Sasmit Patra, have reportedly been approached to participate. Additionally, JDU MP Sanjay Jha, former Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid, and BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi are expected to join the effort.
Operation Sindoor and Its Impact
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in 26 casualties. As part of the operation, Indian forces conducted precision strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), eliminating over 100 terrorists. The diplomatic campaign aims to garner international backing for India’s counterterrorism efforts.
Diplomatic and Global Implications
India’s move to mobilize international opinion against Pakistan underscores its zero-tolerance policy on terrorism. By engaging global stakeholders, the initiative seeks to build pressure on Pakistan and strengthen international cooperation against terrorism.
As the campaign unfolds, the world will be watching how India’s diplomatic offensive shapes global narratives on terrorism and regional security.
