India Targets Pakistani Military Installations Amid Rising Tensions
New Delhi, May 10 – The Indian Armed Forces launched precision strikes on key Pakistani military installations in response to recent escalations along the western border and the Line of Control (LoC). The strikes, part of Operation Sindoor, targeted command and control centres, radar sites, and ammunition depots using air-launched weapons from fighter aircraft.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, speaking at a joint press conference with the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Defence, emphasized India’s commitment to minimizing collateral damage while retaliating against Pakistan’s aggressive military actions. She detailed Pakistan’s use of drones, long-range weapons, and fighter jets to target Indian military structures, with airspace infiltration attempted at more than 26 locations.
Indian forces successfully engaged and retaliated, but airbases in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, Bhuj, and Bathinda sustained damage, and personnel were injured. India’s response comes after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, prompting the launch of Operation Sindoor to dismantle terrorist infrastructure.
