India and Indonesia Sign Agreements in Health, Security, and Multiple Other Sectors

India and Indonesia have signed a series of agreements in the fields of health, culture, maritime cooperation, security, and digital development. The agreements were finalized on Saturday, January 25, in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. The British news agency Reuters reported the development.

During a press conference following the signing, President Subianto stated, “There are several sectors where we share common interests. We have discussed ways to enhance cooperation in these key areas.”

President Subianto expressed a strong interest in strengthening economic partnerships with India. He also emphasized prioritizing mutual collaboration in the coming days.

Furthermore, the Indonesian President thanked India for supporting Indonesia’s membership in the BRICS economic bloc. Subianto remarked, “This organization of emerging economies is poised to become a key force for global stability and regional cooperation.”

Speaking earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the two nations would work closely to improve defense equipment production and supply chains. Additionally, they have decided to collaborate on maritime security, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, and combating extremism.
