High Alert at Saptari Border Amid India-Pakistan Tensions
Rajbiraj, May 9 – Security measures along the Nepal-India border in Saptari have been significantly tightened as tensions between India and Pakistan continue to escalate.
Authorities have ramped up surveillance at all border crossings, implementing strict inspections on individuals entering Nepal from India. Additionally, officials have begun maintaining detailed records of those crossing the border to enhance security monitoring.
Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, along with members of the District Security Committee, conducted a thorough inspection of the border areas on Thursday. Dahal emphasized that heightened vigilance has been enforced, with the Armed Police Force coordinating joint patrols alongside Indian security personnel.
Furthermore, border outposts (BOPs) along the 78-kilometre stretch of Saptari’s border with India are carrying out rigorous checks to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized activities. Authorities continue to monitor the evolving situation, prioritizing the security of the region in response to geopolitical developments.
