Grande & Slater Reunite, Shut Down Split Rumors

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have firmly put breakup rumors to rest by making a cozy public appearance together on Saturday, April 26. The couple attended the Little Shop of Horrors Off-Broadway production in New York City to support Grande’s longtime friend and former Victorious co-star, Liz Gillies.

According to PEOPLE, the couple arrived at the Westside Theatre an hour early to spend time backstage with the cast. A source described the visit as “adorable,” adding, “They were both so friendly and warm with the cast and extremely supportive of the show.”

Ariana brought a potted plant as a gift for the women’s dressing room, a clever nod to the show’s iconic character, Audrey II. Gillies later posted photos on Instagram with the caption, “THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THE SHOP, MY DINGUS!!” featuring snaps with Ariana, Ethan, and the cast. In the photos, both Ariana and Liz held little potted plants.

One source added, “Ariana looked thrilled. She was overheard singing ‘Skid Row’ on her way into the theater and picked up a bunch of show merch.”

Gillies stars as Audrey opposite Milo Manheim’s Seymour in the revival. This production marks her return to the New York stage since she and Grande debuted together in 13 back in 2008. Fellow 13 castmate Aaron Simon Gross also joined the reunion backstage.

Gillies and Grande have maintained a strong friendship over the years. In a 2024 interview, Gillies told PEOPLE, “We always make time to see each other and create new memories.”

Grande and Slater, who met on the set of Wicked, started dating after their respective separations. They went public with their relationship in November 2024. Their latest joint appearance shows no signs of a split—if anything, their bond seems stronger than ever.
