Google’s 2024 Year in Search: Indian Stars Shine Globally

Google has released its 2024 Year in Search list, showing the most searched topics in entertainment, sports, gaming, and lifestyle. Among the top searched actors, three Indians made it to the global list.

While names like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt were expected, the actors in the top 10 list include South Indian star Pawan Kalyan, TV actress Hina Khan, and Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur.

Pawan Kalyan took the number 2 spot on the list. Known for his work in Telugu cinema, he is one of the highest-paid actors in India. He also became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2024, which may have sparked more curiosity about him.

Hina Khan, who ranked number 5, is a well-known Indian TV actress, famous for roles in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Earlier this year, she announced her breast cancer diagnosis and has been inspiring many with her brave fight against the illness.

Nimrat Kaur, at number 8, is known for her roles in The Lunchbox, Dasvi, and Airlift. In 2024, she made headlines with rumors of an affair with Abhishek Bachchan, which was said to be the cause of his divorce from Aishwarya Rai, though the rumors were never confirmed.
