Golden Globes 2025: Fun, Family, and Magic Moments

The 2025 Golden Globes aired on Sunday night, starting Hollywood’s award season. The show had glamour, jokes, and emotional moments, celebrating movies and TV shows about aging, immigration, survival, and acceptance. The event was fun and lighthearted, known for being a big, lively party in Hollywood.

Host Nikki Glaser’s Jokes
This year, Nikki Glaser hosted the Golden Globes. She was the first woman to host alone. She made everyone laugh with jokes about the popular weight-loss drug Ozempic and even made fun of actor Timothée Chalamet’s name and facial hair. Glaser also joked about Selena Gomez’s fiancé, Benny Blanco, saying he was only there because of a “genie wish.” One of her funniest moments was when she tried to sing a silly song, but the producers told her to stop.

Family Moments at the Golden Globes
Several stars brought their parents to the ceremony, making it a family night. Zoe Saldana, Ariana Grande, and actress Margaret Qualley all brought their moms. Actor Glen Powell brought his parents to celebrate his first Golden Globe nomination.

One of the most touching moments came when Adrien Brody won and thanked his parents and immigrant ancestors. Actress Fernanda Torres also honored her mother after winning an award for the Brazilian film I’m Still Here. She said the award showed how art can help us survive tough times.

Moving Speeches
Some acceptance speeches were very emotional. Demi Moore, who won her first acting award after 45 years, gave a powerful speech about self-acceptance. She shared how, at a low point in her life, she got a script for The Substance and felt like she wasn’t done with her career.

Actor Colin Farrell joked that he won for The Penguin because of his makeup artist and craft services team.

The team from Wicked won for box office success and talked about how movies can bring people together.

Golden Glamour on the Red Carpet
The red carpet at the Golden Globes was full of sparkling outfits. Stars like Zendaya, Cate Blanchett, and Mindy Kaling wore beautiful gold gowns. Nikki Glaser wore a golden dress, and Mindy Kaling dazzled in a gold gown by Ashi Studio. Other stars like Dakota Fanning and Emma Stone chose bright colors like red. The night was full of shining outfits and memorable moments.
