Gaza Becomes the Hungriest Place on Earth: United Nations

The Voice News: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has declared that the besieged Gaza Strip has now become “the hungriest place on Earth.” Around 2.3 million people living in the territory are facing an extreme food crisis, according to reports from Al Jazeera. Ongoing Israeli attacks and blockades have further worsened the already dire situation.

Recently, at a relief distribution center west of Rafah city in southern Gaza, at least two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike. The incident has deepened global concern over the violence. U.S. President Donald Trump stated, “A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas is very close and may be announced today.”

According to data from Gaza’s Ministry of Health, at least 54,321 Palestinians have been killed and 123,770 injured due to Israeli operations over the past few months.

The scale of the humanitarian tragedy continues to grow. In a heartbreaking incident, Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar, a well-known physician in Gaza, lost 9 of his 10 children in an Israeli airstrike. He himself was seriously injured and has since passed away from his wounds.

Meanwhile, the Israeli government has announced plans to build 22 new illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank. Among these, several previously unauthorized outposts are now being granted official recognition. The Palestinian Authority and international human rights organizations have condemned the move, labeling it a violation of international law and a significant obstacle to the two-state solution.
