Funeral of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar at Dhaka University in Bangladesh

Ghaibana Janaza was held at Dhaka University’s VC premises on Friday, October 18 at around 10:30 pm.
More than five hundred students of various departments, institutes and halls of the university including Urdu, Bengali, State Science participated in the funeral. Later prayers were held for the soul of martyr Sinwar. The students then took out a protest march from the VC square to Raju Bhaskar.

Israel claimed the killing of Yahya Sinwar on the night of October 17. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has also released drone footage of the moments before Sinwar’s death. The Israeli forces claim that Sinwar was killed within a few months of killing former Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh. On August 6, 61-year-old Yahya Sinwar was chosen as the new leader by Hamas after Haniya was killed in Iran’s capital, Tehran, on July 31.
