The Voice News: France has hinted at taking a tougher stance against Israel over its brutal actions in the besieged Gaza Strip. On Thursday (June 5), French President Emmanuel Macron stated that his country will decide in the coming days whether to take strict measures against the occupying state of Israel.
France is expected to co-host a joint conference with Saudi Arabia at the United Nations in mid-June, focusing on the issue of Palestine. It is anticipated that France may officially recognize Palestine as an independent state during the event.
At a joint press conference held today with French President Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva addressed journalists, saying, “The extremist Israeli government is carrying out a premeditated genocide in Gaza.”
Meanwhile, the United States has secretly warned both France and the United Kingdom against recognizing Palestine as an independent state. However, it is believed that France is unlikely to heed the American warning.
