Former lover Justin Bieber’s wife, Hailey Bieber, congratulates Selena Gomez

From 2010 to 2018, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples, with their romance making headlines worldwide. However, their relationship ended years ago. Selena struggled to move on from Justin, often speaking about the pain in interviews and through her songs. Meanwhile, Justin, instead of dwelling on the breakup, chose model Hailey, whom he later married. Hailey adopted Justin’s family name, becoming Hailey Bieber.

The latest news reveals that Hailey, putting aside past tensions, congratulated Selena on her engagement. On December 11, Selena announced her engagement to musician Benny Blanco on Instagram, receiving a flood of congratulatory messages. Hailey responded to the post with love and support.

This gesture by Hailey has helped put to rest rumors about a long-standing feud between the two. It was previously thought that Selena disliked Hailey due to her closeness with Justin. However, in 2023, when Hailey faced online harassment as Justin’s wife, Selena publicly supported her. In March of that year, Selena posted on Instagram urging people to stop online harassment, writing, “I never support this. No one should be subjected to hate or harassment.”

Hailey later thanked Selena, saying, “We should all be more mindful of our posts and words. I believe love is always greater than hate.”

Hailey also approves of Selena’s fiancé, Benny Blanco, as Benny worked with Justin for a long time on many hit songs like “Somebody to Love,” “Love Yourself,” and “Cold Water.”

In addition to Hailey, Justin’s 16-year-old sister, Jazmyn Bieber, also liked Selena’s engagement post and sent her congratulations. Several other celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Selena’s long-time friend, congratulated the couple. Taylor jokingly wrote, “Yes, I will be the flower girl.”

Other notable celebrities who congratulated Selena and Benny included Jennifer Aniston, Nina Dobrev, Lily Collins, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
