Final Destination: Bloodlines Gets Earlier UK Release Date

The upcoming Final Destination: Bloodlines horror film will now hit UK cinemas two days earlier than originally planned. While the film was initially scheduled for a May 16 release in both the UK and the US, it will now debut in the UK on May 14.

Bloodlines marks the sixth installment in the Final Destination franchise, which has been dormant since 2011. The film also celebrates the 25th anniversary of the original Final Destination movie.

Details about the plot are being kept under wraps, but it has been confirmed that the late Tony Todd will reprise his iconic role as William Bludworth, having filmed his scenes before his passing. The movie stars Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (Dear Evan Hansen), Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee.

Bloodlines will be the longest film in the series, with a teaser showcasing the return of the franchise’s trademark gruesome yet over-the-top deaths.

Written by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick (Ready or Not), and based on a treatment by Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts, the film is directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein. Craig Perry returns as producer after working on all five previous Final Destination films.

In 2020, Perry hinted that the new film might explore the world of first responders, people who deal with death daily and often make life-or-death decisions. Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the series’ trademark mix of horror and suspense.
