Final Destination 6 Unveils Gruesome First Trailer for Bloodlines

Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the first trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines, the highly anticipated sixth installment in the iconic horror franchise. The trailer offers a chilling preview of what’s to come, featuring one of the film’s many creatively brutal deaths.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Warner Bros. teased: “If you screw with Death’s plans, things can get very… messy. Final Destination: Bloodlines – only in theaters and @imax May 16.”

The trailer introduces Erik, a tattoo artist grieving the recent death of his father. In the opening scene, Erik is seen complaining to a client, who is getting her tongue pierced, about having to lock up the shop despite his personal loss. As he works on her piercing, the tension begins to build, hinting at a grisly fate.

In classic Final Destination fashion, Erik’s demise is foreshadowed by a series of unfortunate events. It all starts when a chain falls from the ceiling, hooking onto his septum piercing, which eventually causes a chain reaction. The chain gets tangled in a ceiling fan, leading to a fire. As Erik attempts to save himself, he stands on a glass counter, which shatters beneath him, sending him plummeting into the flames while his melancholy playlist plays in the background. The scene sets the stage for the film’s signature gruesome and elaborate deaths.

Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination: Bloodlines is set to hit theaters on May 16, 2025. The film’s screenplay is written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. The cast includes Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Max Lloyd-Jones, and Rya Kihlstedt.

A major highlight for long-time fans is the return of Tony Todd, who portrayed the mortician William Bludworth in three of the previous films. Todd is expected to reprise his role in Bloodlines, further adding to the excitement surrounding the film.

As fans eagerly await its release, Final Destination: Bloodlines promises to deliver the same thrilling, life-or-death suspense that has made the franchise a horror favorite for years.
