Fantastic Four Trailer Debuts Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer and Galactus

Marvel Studios has officially dropped a brand-new trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps, and it’s nothing short of cosmic chaos. Packed with first-look reveals, emotional stakes, and universe-threatening villains, this latest glimpse into Marvel’s next major chapter is already turning heads.

One of the most talked-about reveals is Julia Garner’s transformation into the Silver Surfer. Her mysterious and powerful presence dominates the trailer, as she descends to Earth with a dire warning: the planet is marked for annihilation. In a dramatic encounter, she even sends Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, plummeting back to Earth after a high-speed chase through space.

But the Surfer’s arrival is only the beginning.

Fans are also treated to a shadowy, colossal tease of Galactus himself — seen stomping through a city skyline with a Godzilla-like menace. While we don’t get a full view, his silhouette and massive feet are enough to send shivers.

The trailer opens with a fun twist, introducing the team through a fictional in-universe talk show hosted by none other than Doctor Who and Sherlock star Mark Gatiss as Ted Gilbert. From there, the story quickly pivots to high drama as it’s revealed that Sue Storm is pregnant — a plotline that’s already generating speculation. As the tension builds, familiar voices echo powerful lines like “There’s not enough time,” and “We will fight this together. As a family…”

We also see the Fantastic Four in action: Reed Richards flexing his stretch abilities, The Thing smashing through rubble, and Sue struggling to maintain a force field while visibly pregnant — hinting at a baby already showing signs of power.

Set in a parallel universe decades before the main MCU timeline, First Steps is more than a retro adventure. All four heroes are confirmed for Marvel’s next Avengers installment, and with Robert Downey Jr. making his MCU return as the villainous Doctor Doom, this film is clearly a foundational piece for what’s to come.

Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters July 25. Buckle up — the multiverse is only getting weirder.
