The third chapter in Netflix’s hit mystery series Enola Holmes has officially begun filming in the United Kingdom. Starring Stranger Things alum Millie Bobby Brown, the sequel is currently being shot at Shepperton Studios, with additional scenes planned for Malta later in the production.
In a major shake-up, Enola Holmes 3 will not be directed by Harry Bradbeer, who helmed the first two films. Instead, the director’s chair is now occupied by Philip Barantini, known for his gripping one-take dramas like Boiling Point and Adolescence — the latter being a recent smash hit for Netflix.
While Millie Bobby Brown is confirmed to return as the brilliant young detective, the involvement of co-stars Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, and Susan Wokoma has yet to be officially confirmed.
Plot details remain tightly under wraps, but rumors suggest a darker tone this time around, especially with Barantini’s intense directorial style. The storyline is expected to pick up where Enola Holmes 2 left off — potentially exploring Moriarty’s prison escape and introducing Dr. John Watson more fully into the Holmes universe.
There is no confirmed release date for Enola Holmes 3, but fans can catch up with the first two films, currently streaming on Netflix.
