Eli Paul 26.2 mile run at NYC Marathon 2024

Eli Paul (Dr. Konica Paul Bose, MD), a Bangladeshi American, has successfully completed the 26.2 mile run at NYC Marathon 2024 on Sunday, 3rd November 2024.

She is a practicing gastroenterologist and a mother of 3. Eli Paul ran the marathon in memory of her deceased elder brother Dr. Kaniska Paul. She may be the first Bangladeshi American woman to complete this extraordinary sport. It is hard to get a chance to get into the event, but she made it and finished it successfully. For that she went through tedious year-long training. It started from Island @ 9:00 am and ended at Central Park, NY @ 4:30 pm near the West side of Central Park near the Restaurant Tavern on the Green. Eli earlier completed a 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) in October 2022.
