Eden Trailer Starring Sydney Sweeney Released in German Dub

The first trailer for Eden, the new survival thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Jude Law, has been released — but in an unexpected twist. Directed by Solo: A Star Wars Story’s Ron Howard, the film also features Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, and Richard Roxburgh.

Despite its high-profile cast and director, the trailer that has surfaced online is in German, as the film is yet to secure a distributor or English-language release date. Eden is currently scheduled for release in Germany by Leonine Studios in April.

The film, set on the Ecuadorian island of Floreana, follows a group of European settlers and has already been shown at the Toronto International Film Festival. Critics at the festival gave it a mixed reception, with the film earning a 57% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While some reviews found the film memorable, others felt that the talented cast was underutilized. However, Ana de Armas received praise for her campy, fun performance that added some flair to the film.

Sydney Sweeney is also making waves with her other projects, including The Housemaid, directed by Paul Feig, and The Masque of the Red Death, an Edgar Allan Poe adaptation for A24.
