Meghann Fahy stars in the intense new Blumhouse thriller Drop, where dating takes a terrifying turn. The official trailer reveals Fahy as Violet, a widowed woman trying to reenter the world of dating. However, her evening takes a nightmarish twist when she starts receiving anonymous airdrop messages demanding that she kill her charming date or her children will die.
The film is directed by Christopher Landon, best known for Freaky, and marks his return to horror with a fresh, high-stakes narrative. Fahy, recently Emmy-nominated for her role in The White Lotus, stars alongside It Ends with Us actor Brandon Sklenar. The cast also includes Violett Beane, Travis Nelson, Fiona Browne, Gabrielle Ryan, Tara Mae, and Stephanie Karam.
Drop is written by Jillian Jacobs and Christopher Roach, the duo behind Truth or Dare and Fantasy Island. The film follows Landon’s exit from Scream VII after the project fell apart in late 2023.
