Dr. Nuran Nabi Reaffirmed in Service: Takes Oath for Fifth Term as Plainsboro Township Councilman

In a ceremony marked by both tradition and forward-looking hope, Dr. Nuran Nabi, a respected figure in both academia and local politics, solemnly took the oath of office for his fifth term as a councilman of Plainsboro Township, New Jersey, on the evening of January 4, 2025. This latest swearing-in underscores a continued commitment to local governance, having been re-elected by a community that values his dedication and leadership over the past fifteen years.
Dr. Nabi, who holds a rich academic background with degrees in biochemistry from Dhaka University and further accolades from universities in Japan and the United States, has become synonymous with the spirit of Plainsboro. His journey from a freedom fighter in Bangladesh’s Liberation War to a pivotal role in the invention of Colgate Total Toothpaste, and then into the realm of public service, paints a portrait of a life dedicated to service in various forms.
