Shri Thanedar Calls for Sanctions Against Bangladesh Over Minority Rights Violations

Congressman Shri Thanedar has made a strong appeal for justice, advocating for the protection of Hindus in Bangladesh amidst ongoing reports of atrocities and unjust arrests. Taking a decisive stance, Thanedar has urged the U.S. Treasury and State Department to impose sanctions on Bangladesh to address these human rights violations and hold perpetrators accountable.

Speaking at a rally organized by the Bangladeshi American Hindu Society in front of Capitol Hill on December 18th, Thanedar emphasized the importance of swift action to safeguard minority communities and promote global awareness of the ongoing issues. His call for sanctions underscores the need for tangible measures to address systemic discrimination and violence.

“Global awareness and action are imperative to ensure justice and protection for minorities. Together, we must keep this fight alive,” he stated, urging international leaders to stand in solidarity with oppressed communities.

Thanedar’s push for sanctions highlights his commitment to ensuring justice, fairness, and human dignity. His leadership serves as a rallying cry for global efforts to protect human rights and uphold the principles of equality and freedom.

This bold appeal underscores the critical role of policymakers in addressing injustice and ensuring accountability on an international scale.
