Cardi B spoke passionately for Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally in Wisconsin. The event, called “When We Vote We Win,” included performances from various artists like GloRilla and the Isley Brothers.
Cardi compared herself to Harris, saying they are both “underdogs” who have been underestimated. She shared that women often have to work much harder to succeed and are still questioned about their achievements.
Initially, Cardi didn’t plan to vote this year, but she changed her mind after Harris entered the race. She criticized the Biden administration before but now supports Harris’s plans to help people afford homes and combat high prices. Cardi said, “[Harris] is promising a lot… and I believe her.”
Cardi expressed that she didn’t have faith in any candidate until Harris spoke about the changes she wants to see in the country. She praised Harris for being passionate and empathetic.
During her speech, Cardi criticized former President Donald Trump, calling him “Donny Dump.” She disagreed with his claims about protecting women’s rights, stating that fewer rights for daughters than their mothers is not protection.
This rally is part of a series of events the Harris-Walz campaign has been holding to encourage people to vote in the upcoming election on November 5.
