Breaking News: Jeju Air Plane Crash at Muan International Airport

SEOUL – A tragic accident occurred at Muan International Airport in South Korea on December 29, 2024, when a Jeju Air flight veered off the runway and crashed, resulting in at least 28 fatalities. The aircraft, carrying 175 passengers and six flight attendants, was returning from Thailand.

The crash happened at 9:07 am local time (8:07 am Singapore time) during landing. Photos from the scene showed smoke billowing from the plane1. Rescue operations are ongoing, and one person has been found alive so far.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, and more details are expected to emerge as the rescue mission continues.
