BJP MP Jagdambika Pal Supports Import Ban on Pakistan, Blames ISI for Pahalgam Attack

New Delhi, May 4 – BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has backed the Indian government’s decision to impose a blanket ban on imports from Pakistan, calling it a necessary response to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. Pal directly blamed Pakistan’s ISI and Army for sponsoring the killings of innocent Indian tourists.
Strong Stand Against Terrorism
Speaking to ANI, Pal stated, “The incident in Pahalgam has occurred, and our innocent tourists were murdered in front of their children and wives. These acts of terrorism clearly show that the ISI and the Pakistan Army across the border have sponsored these killings.” He emphasized that the nation stands united in grief and determination, adding, “Justice will be served for their tears.”
Government’s Response
Pal highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s firm stance on terrorism, stating that India will punish the terrorists and their handlers in an unimaginable way. He noted that India has taken decisive actions, including:

  • Closing airspace to Pakistani flights.
  • Halting trade with Pakistan.
  • Banning Pakistani ships from entering Indian ports.
    International Support
Pal also emphasized that India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism has gained global support, with many nations backing India’s actions against Pakistan.
    India’s Import Ban
On Saturday, May 3, India imposed a complete ban on the direct or indirect import and transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan. The ban was notified by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is effective immediately.
As tensions continue to rise, India remains firm in its stance, with further diplomatic and security measures expected in the coming days.
