Biden Warns of Tech Industrial Complex and Misinformation in Farewell Address

Washington, D.C. – In his farewell address, President Joe Biden expressed deep concerns about the potential rise of a “tech industrial complex” and the pervasive spread of misinformation and disinformation. Speaking from the Oval Office, Biden highlighted the dangers posed by the concentration of power within the tech industry and the impact of false information on American society.

“Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation enabling the abuse of power,” Biden stated. “The truth is smothered by lies told for power and for profit.”

Biden’s address underscored the urgent need to address these issues to protect democracy and ensure a fair and informed society. His remarks come as he prepares to leave office, marking the end of his presidency and a significant moment in his political career.
