Biden Administration Tried to Assassinate Putin, Claims US Journalist

US journalist and political analyst Tucker Carlson has accused the former Joe Biden administration of trying to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The Biden administration did it,” the former Fox News anchor said Monday on the latest episode of his podcast “The Tucker Carlson Show,” The Politico reported. They tried to assassinate Putin. ”

Carlson provided no evidence for his claim. “It’s crazy to think of something like that,” Carlson said, calling the assassination attempt “crazy.” Because in his words, Washington tried to get involved in a direct confrontation with Moscow. The goal was to provoke World War III and sow chaos in the world.

The Biden administration ruled the United States from 2021 until the new President Donald Trump took office on January 20, 2025. Russia’s war in Ukraine has intensified.

Carlson’s serious allegations about the Biden administration have raised questions about the credibility of his words as they have not provided any evidence. Russia immediately responded to Carlson’s words.

Newsweek writes that the speaker of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, warned against the allegations made by US journalist Karlsson, saying that “such mere talk about such things as a plot to assassinate Putin means moving towards nuclear war.” Volodin also called for further investigation into Carlson’s allegations.

Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox News in 2023. He was fired after legal complications arose against Fox News for promoting baseless claims of fraud in the 2020 US presidential election.

Since then, Carlson has often defended the Kremlin’s statements. He has even been critical of US military aid to Ukraine and has called Ukraine an “undemocratic” country.

In February last year, Carlson visited Moscow to interview Putin. Later in December, he went to Russia again to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
