Thousands of families have been devastated by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, losing their homes, businesses, and vehicles. At least 11 people have been reported dead, and the death toll is expected to rise as rescue operations continue.
In the wake of this disaster, many Hollywood stars have stepped up to help the victims. Some are providing shelter and food, while others are offering financial support.
Pop icon Beyoncé has also joined the effort, donating $2.5 million through her BeyGOOD Foundation. The foundation, established in 2013, will assist families in areas like Altadena and Pasadena, which were severely affected by the fires. In addition to supporting affected families, BeyGOOD will also provide aid to churches and community centers in other impacted regions to address immediate needs.
Following the wildfires, several other Hollywood organizations have pledged donations. Last Friday, Walt Disney Company announced a $15 million donation for rebuilding and relief efforts. Production companies Paramount and Fox Corp. have donated $1 million to the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Additionally, Live Nation is planning a FireAid benefit concert on January 30 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The upcoming Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 2 in Los Angeles, are also expected to feature major fundraising efforts for relief and rebuilding initiatives for the city’s residents.
