Ben Affleck Stars in RIP and The Accountant 2 This Spring

Ben Affleck is set for a major year in 2025, with not one but two highly anticipated projects hitting the screens. First up, he reunites with long-time friend and collaborator Matt Damon in the upcoming Netflix crime thriller RIP. Directed by Joe Carnahan, RIP follows the duo as two police officers who discover millions of dollars in a hidden stash house, leading to increasing tension and fractured trust within their team. As external forces close in on the discovery, the officers are forced to question who they can really trust.

Affleck described the movie as a mix of Heat, Narc, and Training Day, emphasizing its complex human drama. RIP is produced by Affleck and Damon through their company, Artists Equity, which focuses on ensuring fairer profit distribution for cast and crew members. The film also stars Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, and a host of other talented actors, with the release slated for autumn 2025.

In addition to RIP, Affleck will also reprise his role as Christian Wolff in The Accountant 2, set for theatrical release on April 25, 2025. The sequel to the 2016 hit will once again follow Wolff, a genius accountant with a secret life tied to dangerous criminals. Affleck’s portrayal of the character in the first film earned him critical praise, and fans are eagerly awaiting his return.

With these two major projects lined up, 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for Affleck, as he continues to make waves both in front of and behind the camera.
