Bangladeshi Legendary Actress Suborna Mustafa Harassed at Airport

Many artists and cultural figures from Bangladesh are reportedly facing the wrath of the government, including Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus. They are being harassed under the guise of their supposed affiliation with the Awami League. Even attempts to travel abroad are being obstructed.

On Saturday, November 30, legendary Bangladeshi actress Suborna Mustafa was detained at the airport while attempting to travel to Thailand. Her alleged offense was her previous role as a Member of Parliament for a reserved women’s seat, nominated by the Awami League. The immigration police detained her and sent her back.

According to sources from the immigration police, Suborna Mustafa had planned to board a Thai Airways flight to Thailand that morning. However, she was not allowed to leave the country due to certain observations and objections raised by an intelligence agency.

It is important to note that actress Suborna Mustafa has been involved in Awami League politics and previously served as a Member of Parliament for a reserved women’s seat.
