Bangladesh U-19 Team Wins Asia Cup by Defeating India

Bangladesh’s U-19 cricket team secured the Asia Cup title by defeating India by 59 runs in the final held in Dubai on Sunday, December 8.

This victory marks Bangladesh’s second consecutive U-19 Asia Cup title.

After winning the toss, Indian captain Mohammed Aman chose to field first. Batting first, Azizul Haque Tamim’s team scored 198 runs in 49.1 overs before being bowled out. In response, the Indian team was all out for 139 runs in 35.2 overs, giving Bangladesh a decisive win.

This victory is significant for Bangladesh, as they had previously lost to India by five runs in the 2019 U-19 Asia Cup final. The two teams last faced off in the semifinals of the 2023 tournament, where Bangladesh eliminated India and went on to defeat the UAE by 195 runs in the final, claiming their first title.

With this latest win, Bangladesh now holds two U-19 Asia Cup titles, while India remains the most successful team in the tournament’s history with eight titles.
